Welcome to UBA, we are Badminton in Uganda

OUR OBJECTIVES 

  1. To promote and develop the sport of Badminton  in Uganda.
  2. To lay down and secure the adoption of the sport rules and to take decision on all matters relating to the sport of badminton in Uganda.
  3. To act as the sole controller and governing body of the sport in Uganda.
  4. To foster closer relations by encouraging the holding of competitions and matches between players of affiliated clubs and arranging for the participation of Uganda players in regional and international tournaments.
  5. To take action,  keep records on all issues of players under the Association and other matters related to the sports gowth, competitions, governance and development.

In a remarkable turn of events at the Uganda International Challenge 2024, Anuoluwapo Juwon Opeyori, the pride of Nigerian badminton, has etched his name in the tournament’s history by reaching the semi-finals.

Day 1 of the Badminton African Games 2023

 

The second day at the Uganda International Challenge 2024, hosted at the Lugogo Stadium, witnessed a roller-coaster of emotions as African players, especially those in the Road to Paris Program under the Badminton Confederation of Africa (BCA), took center stage.

The curtains closed at the Lugogo MTN Arena in Kampala, Uganda, on Sunday, 25th February, marking the end of an exhilarating Uganda International Challenge 2024. The finals showcased fierce competition and captivating performances across various categories.

 

The Lugogo Stadium in Kampala reverberated with the echoes of intense badminton clashes as the Uganda International Challenge 2024 commenced its journey. Athletes from various corners of the globe converged, seeking glory and vital points in the Paris 2024 Olympic qualification period.
