The All Africa U19 AirBadminton Championships provided a unique experience for many of the young athletes, some of whom were playing AirBadminton for the first time. The event was not just about competition; it was also a celebration of camaraderie and the joy of sport. The youngsters took to the AirBadminton courts with enthusiasm, forming new friendships and enjoying the fresh and dynamic environment that AirBadminton offers.
South African coach Dillan Schaap praised the initiative by the Badminton Confederation Africa (BCA), noting the positive impact the event had on the players. Speaking to BCA TV, Schaap said, “This is a great initiative by the BCA, and we can see that the players enjoyed themselves and had fun. For some of them, this was a whole new experience, and I am happy that they got to know both traditional badminton and AirBadminton. As we all know, AirBadminton is becoming very popular in almost all countries, and even at the level of the African continent, we need to start emerging.”
