BCA International Coaching Scholarship (ICS) Programme 2026 – Launch of Applications
We are delighted to announce the launch of the application for the BCA International Coaching Scholarship (ICS) Programme 2026.
Scholarship Details
For this edition, 10 coaches will be selected:
- 8 coaches will receive a full scholarship covering airfare and accommodation.
- 2 coaches will receive a partial scholarship (50%), covering accommodation and training fees.
Eligibility Criteria
African coaches who meet the following requirements are encouraged to apply:
- Be in good standing with their Member Association
- Hold at least a BWF Level 1 coaching certification
- Have a minimum of 5 years’ experience training players on a regular basis
- Have filled out the BCA Coaches Report (BCA Coaches Follow-up) for the previous years
- Be actively involved in national training structures and team development
- Be 45 years old or younger
- Be available to contribute to their association’s efforts over the next 2 years.
Both male and female coaches are strongly encouraged to apply.
Application Process
Each Member Association is invited to submit applications for one male coach and one female coach. All candidates must personally complete the online application form via the following link: https://forms.gle/YUguDhx3g4sVaDts5
Additionally, we kindly request Member Associations to endorse the applications of their nominated coaches by submitting an email or letter of support, including the candidate’s full name, to b.bokpe@badmintonafrica.com (BCA Development Manager), and copy a.reda@badmintonafrica.com and r.rochdy@badmintonafrica.com.
Key Deadlines
- Application Submission Deadline: 15thMay 2026
- Applications submitted without endorsements or received after the deadline will not be considered.
Please note that the BCA reserves the right to request videos from the candidates and to conduct interviews.
