BCA MEMO – Updates to the BCA Events Calendar 2026 and Announcement of the All Africa Senior Championships 2027 Host

Please find below important updates to the BCA Events Calendar 2026, as well as an announcement regarding the host of the All Africa Senior Championships 2027.

1. Africa AirBadminton Championships 2026 – Uganda

BCA wishes to inform Member Associations of a change in the dates of the Africa AirBadminton Championships 2026 in Uganda.

Following the earlier communication confirming Uganda as the new host and the previously announced dates of 17 to 20 September 2026, the Championships will now take place from 16 to 19 September 2026.

In addition, we will also hold our Zone 5 Regional Championships and BWF/BCA AirBadminton Training Camp after the championships from 20 to 22 September 2026.

Further details, including the prospectus and related arrangements, will be shared in due course.

2. Cape Town International 2026 – BWF World Senior Circuit

BCA is pleased to inform Member Associations that the Cape Town International 2026 will take place from 23 to 27 September 2026 in Cape Town, South Africa.

The event is part of the BWF World Senior Circuit 2026 and will provide an important opportunity for senior-aged players to participate in an international competition on the African continent.

3. All Africa Senior Championships 2027 – Algeria

BCA is pleased to announce that Algeria has been awarded the hosting rights for the All Africa Senior Championships 2027.

The Championships will take place from 11 to 17 January 2027 in Algeria.

BCA looks forward to working closely with the Algerian Badminton Federation to deliver a successful continental championship.
