Welcome to UBA, we are Badminton in Uganda

VISION: To make Badminton a widely known and practiced sport in Uganda.

OUR OBJECTIVES 

  1. To promote and develop the sport of Badminton  in Uganda.
  2. To lay down and secure the adoption of the sport rules and to take decision on all matters relating to the sport of badminton in Uganda.
  3. To act as the sole controller and governing body of the sport in Uganda.
  4. To foster closer relations by encouraging the holding of competitions and matches between players of affiliated clubs and arranging for the participation of Uganda players in regional and international tournaments.
  5. To take action,  keep records on all issues of players under the Association and other matters related to the sports gowth, competitions, governance and development.

    After a week of excitement in the team competition, where host nation Ghana made history by winning the All Africa U-15 Team Event against Egypt, all eyes are now on the second part of the championships, the All Africa Individual Championships 2025.

     

    The individual championships are taking place from 3 to 5 August at the impressive Borteyman Sports Complex in Accra. This modern facility, which hosted the team event, will now welcome Africa’s brightest junior talents for three days of intense matches, all fighting for the title of African Champion in their category.

    The knockout rounds of the All Africa U-15 Team Championships 2025 began with intense quarterfinal action at the Borteyman Sports Complex. The top teams from the group stage, South Africa, Egypt, Ghana, and Mauritius, were joined by Ivory Coast, Tunisia, Algeria, and Namibia, all looking to earn a place in the semi-finals. The pressure was higher, the rallies were longer, and the cheers from the crowd were louder than ever.

    The All Africa U-15 Team Championships 2025 began with electrifying action at the Borteyman Sports Complex, as Africa’s youngest badminton stars took to the courts for two days of intense Group Stage battles in the Mixed Team Relay format. The atmosphere was buzzing, with ten nations fighting for a place in the knockout rounds and supporters filling the venue with cheers and encouragement.
